About me

Hello, I'm Amy.

A graduate of the Royal Northern College of Music (BMus 1st Class (Hons)) with over 10 years of experience working as a freelance violinist. I've taught in both school and private settings, and was a co-founder of the Manchester Violin School.

I tailor the way I teach to suit the individual needs of each student as I believe we all have unique ways of learning. I can help with any aspect of playing the violin, whether you have qualifications or goals you wish to work towards (e.g. ABRSM, Trinity, entrance to music college) or just learning for fun!

I have experience performing with various ensembles and orchestras, such as the Cassia String Quartet, in both classical and popular settings. I've also worked as a session musician, playing with the likes of Blossoms, The Charlatans, New Order and Daughter to name a few.

Please feel free to get in touch, I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
